United We Stand - August 17, 2011

Those of us who defend our flag
We're a special brand
We see a part of humanity that
Most would not understand
We're trained to fight for what we think is right
Against an enemy who's done the same
We trade in family and friends for a uniform and a gun
Is this all in vain?

Admist the pain and suffering
Faith is found and lost
But we persist because there's no one else
Willing to pay the costs
The tab for freedom can never be fully paid
And the world we live in will always require aid

For human nature necessitates war
Evil men will hail from shore to shore
Liberty will need defending from now till forevermore

So we are here to make a stand
We unite to fight together hand in hand
Brothers and sisters in arms
We stand up straight and tall
And should ever our lines disever then togther we shall fall
