Nighttime - November 29, 2010

As the light goes out

The bird chirps stop
The cricket songs start

The owls hoot
The mice run around

The leaves in the wind
The splash of a fish

The howl of wolves
The glow of the moon

The flash of lightning
The rumble of thunder

As the light goes out.

Subject: exciting

One of the only poems I've read today that hasn't been mind numbingly boring. It reads quickly and rhythmically without being cutesy rhyme-y. Seriously well done.

Subject: Cool Poem!

This is a really cool poem! You can read it backwards (last line to first line)!
