Hidden Souls - October 30, 2010

I lightly blink, for my body
Is of a golden shine
Are we brilliant, eye catching
To those eyes, or is our
Looks all that is to see
For we are merely a shine of
An expression that is forced
A piece of work we cannot
Change or chose
That we must bring a life to
Oh, but we contain none of which
That is dancing where you see
But, by what was learnt
We are nothing but that can
Be done again, even as we die
We are merely a shine, blurred
At the corners of your eyes
Is this our fate?
Each trapped in these rooms
That is all but a mask
Void of any emotion or truth
But one, one that was cut
And forced, this dark, still place
Even as we swim around
In the night air
We are not alive
Even as we blink and breath
As we do have wishes
Mine of a new warmth
An excitement for little time
But there is no touch, no grasp
But to others of my kind
No, but a real spark
That of a dream, for this
Short-lived night
Where my wishes of this grasp
Is futile in these branched hands
Rolling our bodies around
As we slip and run to the Hells
Every thing may be lonely
The cruelest of a sickness
For nothing ends happy or bright
Even for us
For in the time of the silent sun
We are blown out.
