Eyes - May 13, 2011

It started out a year ago
When I look into the past
Everything changes
I should've known it wouldn't last
I guess I saw it coming
Tears had stained my face
But you gotta know what you missed out on
Because now you're seen as a disgrace

And if you look into my eyes
All you'll see is
The truth I'd left disguised
But I found out
That all you are is ignorant
Trusted but then you ended it
Leaving me to only ask why
But you won't see pain in my eyes

I can't understand
Why friendships just don't last
They pick you up
They make you fall
Then all they do is laugh
Making conflicts increase
My caring decease
The walls are crashing down
I never thought it'd be over
But you seemed to get over
Still all I can do is laugh

I've got a whole new intake
That has replaced the heartache
Not even you could stop this whole thing now
It seems my burden's lifted
The grieving has ended
I'll leave you to wonder why...
