I feel myself slip away to gender that is alienated to my skin
Though at home within my heart
That necktie looks so out of place
While that scarf makes me feel like I should
The football lies all alone upon the field
While I cling to the Barbie that makes me feel at peace
I embrace the femininity that empties out of a soft soul
Never really fitting into any other role
Though the slip I wear makes me feel like a woman
You tell me it's all for naught and just a game
How come I feel complete as her
Really only wishing you could love me as I am
