Alone - June 16, 2010

When I opened my eyes, everything around me was a blury blue and white. My eyes finally dialated, and I saw the pure white sand and clear blue water in front of me. I looked in all other directions and saw that I was in a valley, surronded by wilderness.
What kind of sick joke is this? I thought to myself.  If only I never saw... If only I never knew... People don't know how lucky they are, when they remain ignorant to the evils in the world.

It all began, when I didn't feel like going to school. I never missed school before; I was a 4.28 high school student. One day during science I decided I wanted to ditch for a day. I wouldn't just miss school though, I made sure that whatever I missed would be easy to make up.
A few days after my decision (that I had planned for beforehand), I faked sick. My mom came in, I told her I was wasn't feeling well, she believed me, and let me stay home for the day. She then left for work, leaving me home alone.
After sleeping in for a few hours, I drove to the park. I got to the park, and it was empty. I walked to the swing. I started to push my legs back and forth on the swing getting into a rhythmic motion. Sure, I was seventeen, but there's nothing like remanicing on the old days. Because no one was watching, I jumped off the swing right when I was at the highest I can be. I flailed in the air, realizing that it wasn't very smart. I fell into the woodchips, but instead of landing with a thud, I ripped through the fabric under the woodchips into a hole. I fell for almost a minute until I landed on a foam matress. I looked up and men in white lab coats were surronding me.
"How'd he get here?" one man said to the rest, in a very angry but controlled tone.
"I d-don't know, sir," a man with a hunched back replies.
"Well, get him out of here!"
    "Y-yes, sir."
He grabbed me by the arm, and I walked with him, dumbfounded. Where was I?
As we walked, his grip very tight on my arm, I saw an array of experiments, deadly and highly disturbing.
We reached a room, that looked like a doctor's office.
"W-what's your name s-sonny?" the hunch backed man said.
"Mark," and that's all I ever said. Suddenly, he put a needle in my arm and I felt my brain go numb and my eyes go blury. Then everything was black.

After the shock that came when I awoke, I hiked up the sides of the valley, and after a few days, I got to a small town. I was hungrier than I had ever been in my life. A nice family fed me dinner and let me call my mom, to come get me. I was actually only an hour away. I tried to explain everything to my mom and some close friends later on, but no one ever believed me. After that I never told a soul what happened those few days, and I still feel as if I'm being watched...
