Dreamless nights slip into my slumber
I am lost in the night
The shadows that once cloaked me in comfort
Suffocate me until my screams die silently
Echoing like dying beats of a heart
As it is shattered and broken
Pieces scattering across the floor like glass

The mirror shakes 
As the music box plays on
Fading into the background
She dances in circles around me and mocks me with such glee
A crack in that plastered smile
Looking back at me
And my world begets
Anything other than the darkness 
So alone, even with you by my side
There is no where that hope can really reside
